At the end of 1993 the nucleus of the metal band from Sevlievo – HADES (Boris Kovachev – guitar, Ivan Kasabov – bass and Cvetomir Hristov - drums) moved to Sofia to start a new project. They chose the name 17 XII, which is the beginning of the ancient Roman holidays Saturnalias – when rabble enters the palaces and nobles go to work in the fields. From the very beginning the band focuses on the author’s staff. In the first demo recordings Boris Kasabov was behind the microphone.

In the beginning of 1994 Svetoslav Slaveykov joined 17 XII. The band conducted its thrash metal conception. They had a few concerts in different parts of Bulgaria.

In 1995, 17 XII entered studio. Their recordings were self-financed. For 30 hours in studio they recorded 30 minutes author’s staff for an album. In the end of the year the band stopped its activities, because of none interest from publishers.

In 1998, the vocalist Svetoslav Slaveykov published the album “CAPITIS DEMINUTIO” on МС. The band then tried to make its reunion. One by one from the members’ staff sank Ivan Kasabov and Cvetomir Hristov, because of personal reasons. The band could not find worthy substitutes for them.

Since the end of 2008 the vocalist Svetoslav Slaveykov and the guitar player Boris Kovachev are making steps for reconstruction of 17 XII by attracting new members on board. But it seems that for Boris the alcohol is more important than playing...
