"Phobia gigged regularly around Auckland City in the early 1990's. We played with bands rocking out in the Auckland scene....Ultimate, Salad Daze, The Warners, Black Mass, Frenzy, Balance. Phobia toured once to Hamilton, New Plymouth, Rotorua and Wellington with Ultimate. Phobia made it to national TV, being featured on TV3 for an article on thrash music/stage diving etc...We played our first show at the Trade Union Hall on Great North Road and played our last show in 1992 with Balance at the Auckland University Cafe. The first two songs here are from our 1991 self titled demo and only release which was recorded at SAE by Roy Martin and Chris Van De Geer. 'Why Are You Silent', 'Alliance To Power' and 'Frantic' where from an earlier unreleased demo recorded at SAE. The other tracks including another version of 'Alliance To Power" are live recordings from the 'Satan Loves You' gig at the Power Station in Auckland.... 'Seventh Day' eventually gets cracking.... The last song 'Power Games' is from a demo from an early incarnation of Phobia, with Blair singing I think."
